1. The Greedy Dog
One day, a hungry dog was wandering through the village in search of food. After a while, it found a juicy piece of meat lying on the ground. Overjoyed, the dog grabbed the meat in its mouth and ran away, eager to enjoy its meal in peace.
As the dog was crossing a small wooden bridge over a stream, it looked down and saw its reflection in the water. Thinking it was another dog with an even bigger piece of meat, the greedy dog barked to scare the “other dog” away.
But as soon as it opened its mouth to bark, the meat fell into the water and was swept away by the current. The dog was left with nothing but regret.
Moral of the Story
Don’t let greed make you lose what you already have. Be content with what you possess.
