The Wise Farmer and the Empty Well
Once upon a time, in a small village, a poor farmer lived with his loyal donkey. The donkey helped the farmer every day by carrying heavy loads. One day, while grazing near an old well, the donkey accidentally fell into it.
The farmer rushed over when he heard the donkey braying in distress. The well was too deep, and despite his efforts, the farmer realized he couldn’t pull the donkey out. Heartbroken, the farmer decided to fill the well and bury the donkey to end its suffering.
He called his neighbors to help. They grabbed shovels and started throwing dirt into the well. At first, the donkey panicked, braying loudly as the dirt hit its back. But soon, it stopped.
As the farmer and neighbors continued shoveling, they noticed something remarkable. With every shovel of dirt that fell on the donkey’s back, it would shake it off and step on the rising pile of dirt. Slowly but surely, the donkey rose higher and higher. Before long, the donkey stepped out of the well, alive and unhurt.
The farmer and his neighbors were amazed. The donkey’s determination turned what seemed like a hopeless situation into one of triumph.
Moral of the Story
Life will throw dirt on you. The key to success is to shake it off and use it to rise above challenges. Never give up, even when things seem impossible.
